Super Chunk Ribbed Infinity Scarf

Is there anything better than a great, chunky infinity scarf? Not only are they super comfy, but they really add something to a fall/winter outfit. I love this scarf because it's so insanely large that it just wraps around me like a big hug. I'm pretty much a huge fan of the chunky rugby stripe too. With bulky yarn this project works up super quick, making it perfect for a last minute gift OR in my case when a cold spell hits suddenly and you realize that you have nothing extra warm to wear! Of course you can substitute any colors, or make it a solid scarf instead of striped.

Materials:

  • 4 skeins of Loops and Threads Charisma Yarn

  • Scissors

  • Yarn Needle

Pattern:

Begin by chaining about 22, or to desired thickness. We will be joining the ends instead of crocheting in the round, so this will determine how thick your scarf is. I made mine oversized, but create less chains for a smaller scarf

Row 1-10

Chain 2, turn, and then half double crochet working in the back loops only to end of row

repeat step one for 9 more rows

Row 11-80

Begin new color (here is a great video if you need a refresher on how to do that)

Continue half double crochet ten rows at a time, switching colors after each ten rows. I did 8 color blocks (4 brown and 4 white) for it to be long enough to wrap around my neck twice

Finally, weave in ends with yarn needle (this part takes a bit of patience)

Here is how long mine ended up being!

Doesn't get much cozier than that :)
